Note from Rob Magee: After Magabondu ended, Keith and I took some time off and then started putting together, I guess, what was to be a totally different band; however, after Marc jumped on board- we instantly had 5 years of Magabondu material to pull from if we wanted...we resisted the urge and only brought 'En La Noche' out of retirement. In any event, Chris Rienzi was added as a natrual extension of both being a friend and also being Marc's brother. We tried out a number of REALLY BAD drummers. One guy even showed up to practice without a drumkit, another guy couldn't grasp the intricacies of 2/4 time, etc, etc... Finally we met Keith Nowicki who has awesome chops. Anyway, the album Bitterroot was a big project- taking a year and a half to complete...mostly because we worked on it one night (2 hours) a week. Bitterroot still continues on and is active in the philadelphia area under the name Mother Dynamite. They are super talented guys and definetly worth checking out.
